LitFest Art and Poetry Extravaganza

Participate In Art has teamed up with this years Worcestershire LitFest and Fringe to help create a unique event. Chris Oxlade-Arnott of PIA and LitFest committee member Suz Winspear will be hosting a LitFest Art and Poetry Extravaganza, a wonderful mix of illustrative art and poetry.

For more information please download the new 2019 LitFest Programme below:

It will take place at The Old Pheasant, 25 New St, Worcester, WR1 2DP from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th June from 12 noon to 6pm and Saturday 15th from 12 noon for the Festival Finale, Slams and Raffle. We will also be the hosts for the special evening events from 7:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The exhibition will also be the LitFest hub/box office, providing visitors information and the sale of event tickets. The venue will house the illustration exhibition and the poetry book sales shop, as well as being the host for the LitFest’s main events on both Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings as well as the location for the Finale on Saturday Lunchtime !

There will be an exhibition of illustrative art and poets presenting throughout the day, perhaps writing poetry inspired by the artwork, or on themes of art, plus some poetry salon-style sessions with interaction from visitors and members of the public. A number of local and visiting and guest poets will be performing live in the exhibition space throughout the cause of the four day.

There will be a display and shop for a huge range of poetry books from the poets taking part in LitFest, Black Pear Press and beyond, available throughout the exhibition period.

Book Shop

Works will be available to purchase from Black Pear Press, V Press and as well as a selection of books from winners of the Young Writer and Flash Fiction Competition, Worcester Poet Laureate and many other individual poets.
