Call for Artists for the Album Cover and Graphic Art Exhibition at the PIA Music Festival Art Exhibition and Hub

Participate In Art (PIA) are giving artists the opportunity to present and sell their work during the extremely popular annual Worcester Music Festival. This event attracts 1000’s of additional visitors to the city specifically to see the bands and performers during the weekend of Friday 13th to Sunday 15th September.

Artwork to be suitable for album covers, music or graphic related works.

Event Title: PIA Music Festival Art Exhibition and Hub

Location: 16 The Hopmarket, The Foregate, Worcester, Worcestershire, WR1 3QD

Date: Friday 13th, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September 2019

Public Opening Times: Friday 13th 11am till 6pm, Saturday 14th 11am till 6pm & Sunday 15th 11am till 4pm

Participation Options:

1. Full Space: Dedicated Wall Space for hanging (6ft wide) with a table (6ft long). Only £30.00 for the event (equivalent to just £10.00 per day, NO COMMISSION) Table can be removed if not needed.

2. Half Space: Shared Space for hanging (3ft wide) with a table (half share in 6ft table). Only £20.00 for the whole event (equivalent to just £6.67 per day, NO COMMISSION)

3. Table Top Only: Table (6ft long). Only £24.00 for the event (equivalent to just £8.00 per day, NO COMMISSION)

Spaces are limited and provided on a first come first served basis.

Note:

• Table and table covers provided by PIA
• Wall hanging may be done with nails, pictures to be strung or similar
• Artists to set up own display, use own fixtures
• Set up on Thursday 12th and breakdown on Monday 16th (PIA flexible on logistics – to be discussed directly with artist)
• Optional Extra: PIA to set up display on behalf of artist is charged at £10.00
• Artists will be vetted for suitability
• No PLi needed for this event
• Artists to provide source information for inclusion in the marketing PR (name, biog/wording, images and public contact details)

PIA have teamed up with the Worcester Music Festival to provide the PIA Music Festival Art Exhibition and Hub will host an album cover and graphic art exhibition with some artists present and creating live, Poetry and Spoken Word performances. WMF performers Merchandise Store and Record Store as well as an WMF information Centre!!

This is an opportunity for artists to gain much needed sales, follow on sales and promotion to an increased audience, taking advantage of the increased access to the annual Worcester Music Festival performers and visitors.

The Hub will include a dedicated space for the promotional sale of Worcester Music Festival performing artist merchandise – of all types, in a single idea location, organised and managed on their behalf throughout the festival.

All participants in the PIA Hub will be actively promoted with their own contact details (not directed through PIA) through a set of scheduled SM and PR releases prior to the event.

The hub can also be used as a festival storage/drop off and collection point, as the site has a large basement area and it will be manned continually throughout opening times.

The Hub will have an information centre (area allocated) where performers and public can find out more about the festival itself – past and present, participating bands and festival locations – like a mini festival tourist office.
