The White Socks Theatre Company presents:
The Story Book Adventures Children’s Theatre
Stories can take us anywhere, to the jungle, the bottom of the sea and even to outer space!
Ever wandered where your odd socks disappear to, well we can tell you, it’s ‘SOCKTOPIA’; an imaginary planet far away, where all your odd socks go on holiday! Come along with our storytellers on a space-based adventure, an interactive 30-minute performance, packed with problem solving, poetry and puppetry.
White Socks Theatre was started in 2015 by Jimmy Bates and Katy Rooke, together they have over 15 years’ experience working within the theatre industry.
Jimmy has a degree in Theatre and has been working in Children’s Theatre since 2002. He has worked as a voice over artist for Disney and is the creative producer, writer and director of White Socks Theatre
Katy trained as an actress at East-15 Acting School in London and graduated with a first class BA (Hons) Degree in Acting. She performed at Shakespeare’s Globe as part of the Wanamaker Festival. As a director of White Socks Theatre, she is returning to acting following a break to raise two children.
Working in Children’s Theatre and with young people is really close to the hearts of Jimmy and Katy, it is the mainstay of the work that they do.
