Artist Jean Baynham will be there over the weekend...

Artist: Jean Baynham

With a degree in Art and Design from Worcester University and an  MA in Art and Science from Central St Martins, London Jean has exhibited across the country as well as participating in art-science collaborations which include Worcester University, Bath University, and the Science Museum, London.

Jean’s main practice is sculpture and installation. She make constructed forms using everyday mass-produced and recyclable products.

She investigate these patterns through my research into mathematics and science.

To support this work Jean makes drawings and prints, which is a very important part of my process. Her 2D collection brings together previous works with a series of new drawings and prints that reflects her latest research into patterns as a form of data and how that data becomes information once it is observed or recorded. In particular, Jean has been inspired by the similarities between indigenous patterns and digital systems and how they convey information.
