Participate In Art and the Royal Porcelain Works are proud to present an amazing gathering of creatives, as never before seen in Worcester.
An amazing weekend of culture and experience with live music, song, poetry, plays, interactive installations, art and artists in the beautiful surrounds on the recently renovated Royal Porcelain Works. This event is suitable for all ages and appreciations.
The first Art and Performance Weekend is being opened by the Worcester Mayor at 11am on Saturday 24th August.
Production Company Brain Cocaine will be performing a three day live installation of ‘Love Letters’. The first organically grown art installation of its kind!
Katy and Jimmy from White Sock Theatre will be doing three outdoor plays of their ever popular ‘Story Book Adventures’. Great for kids and families.
Amazing live funky portraits by Caricaturist Andy Meanock.
Artist Open Studio and Meet the Artist, with art work and live creations by artists Jean Baynham, Jantil Moon, Richard Delingpole and Jilly Oxlade-Arnott.
A Long Gallery of works by national artists including Steve J Harvey – Automotive (Oils on Canvas), Bic Beaumont – Illustration, Rebecca Daffeh – Holistic Coach, Colin Clarke – Illustration, Sam Fenner – Funky Animal Artist and many more.
3D work in the form of glass fusion by Sarah Greening, Glass pendants by Richard Evans and pottery by Chris Greening.
The first presentation of the new bone china ranges from 4th generation Worcester Porcelain workers the Davis Family of Kinver Ceramics (Josiah Davis – Guilder and the hugely respected Harry Davis – painter).
Music performances by the very talented Andy Meanock and other musicians booking places too.
Live Poetry Performances from Suz Winspear, Is Osborn, Claire Walker, Bob Woodroofe, Sue Johnson, Mel Wardle Woodend, Holly Yuille, Amanda Bonnick, Georgie Bull, Sharon Carr, Holly Daffurn, Scott Cowley and the new Worcestershire Poet Laureate Charley Barnes.
An extensive Pop Up Bookshop of local and national authors and poets, spanning all genres and styles all at direct from the press prices. A large range of independent authors and titles from both Black Pear Press and V Press.
An Event Information Stand for two major city events; Worcestershire Open Studios (happening August bank Holiday) and The Worcester Music Festival (happening on 13-15th September) with site maps, list of participating artists and musicians as well as Music Festival Merchandise.
Worcester Festival activities will also be taking place at the RPW during the same weekend, such as a set from the famous Vamos Theatre, a day of Try the Horn and The Worcester Festival Jazz Band.
A singing workshop ‘Un-Limit Your Voice’ by the Royal Porcelain Works in-house choir –Voices Unlimited.
The regular Parent & Baby Sessions and Parent & Toddler Sessions will be taking place in the Hall as normal on the Saturday.
Participate In Art (PIA) will be talking about Artist Mentoring Services and how they can help artists, from fine artist, hobby artists to holistic and wellbeing, to grow/relaunch and re-invigorate their business, turn art into a business, gain exhibition/gallery opportunities or event self-marketing and planning.

Over the August Bank Holiday Saturday and Sunday 11-5pm and Monday 11-4pm, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in art and culture of all forms at The Royal Porcelain Works, Severn Street, Worcester, WR1 2NE.
